Honoring those who have served to protect American citizens, Mesquite Gaming honored military and served 4,120 complimentary buffets for Veterans on Friday, Nov. 11 at its buffets at the CasaBlanca Resort-Casino-Golf-Spa and Virgin River Hotel/Casino/Bingo. This number far surpasses the 3,507 buffets served last year.
Bruce Landvik serves as director of food operations for Mesquite Gaming and is a Navy Veteran himself.
Landvik, who served three years in the U.S. Navy, said, “Giving back to our Veterans is something I am proud to do in my role here at Mesquite Gaming. It means so much to these military families to be able to enjoy a delicious seafood meal and given our increase in attendance, it was a wildly popular day. We’re thankful for their service and honored to give back in this small way.”
Virgin River Casino’s Sierra’s Buffet hours are breakfast Monday through Saturday 7 – 10 a.m., lunch 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and dinner 4 – 9 p.m. Sunday brunch is 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. and dinner 4 – 9 p.m. CasaBlanca Resort’s Mesa Buffet is open Friday for seafood and prime rib 2 – 9 p.m., Saturday breakfast 7 a.m. – noon, dinner 2 – 9 p.m. with New York steak and seafood and Sunday breakfast 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
