Mesquite, Nev. – (Monday, July 2, 2018) – Mesquite Gaming, in partnership with Barry’s Boxing, is proud to host the 2018 Junior and Youth Golden Gloves Nationals inside the CasaBlanca Events Center at CasaBlanca Resort. The event takes place on Wednesday, July 18 through Saturday, July 21, and will feature young fighters, ages 8 – 18, from boxing gyms across America. For the first year, the tournament will also feature both boys and girls boxing, and both divisions will have the opportunity to compete for championship belts in each weight class. The event includes an open-ranking tournament for juniors, ages 8 – 16, and a youth non-ranking tournament, ages 17 – 18.
“This tournament has been growing year after year since Mesquite Gaming began hosting the event in 2012,” said Christopher Lazzara, vice president of marketing. “These young athletes work so hard to obtain their weight class belts for the Golden Gloves National Championship that audiences are on the edge-of-their-seats the entire tournament.”
