The Mesquite Motor Mania car show, Mesquite Balloon Festival and Mesquite Music Fest are set to start 2019 off with a bang in Mesquite, Nev.

MESQUITE, NEV. – (Jan. 3, 2019) – Mesquite Gaming, owner of Casablanca Resort and Virgin River Hotel, are ringing in the new year with three major events taking place in the first weeks of 2019. The 11th annual Mesquite Motor Mania, eighth annual Mesquite Balloon Festival and 10th annual Mesquite Music Fest will kick 2019 into high gear.

Mesquite Motor Mania (January 18 – 20)
This January, Mesquite Gaming and the Mesquite Resort Association will partner with the Las Vegas Cruisin’ Association to fill the streets of Mesquite with nearly 1,000 custom automobiles, vintage hot rods and classic cars for the 11th annual Mesquite Motor Mania from Friday, Jan. 18 through Sunday, Jan. 20. The three-day event will feature roaring engines, slow drags and burn out competitions, as well as open header cruises and additional exhibitions. The event will give away more than $15,000 in cash and prizes for the car show participants.

Mesquite Balloon Festival (January 25 – 27)
The last week of January will see the skies surrounding Mesquite filled with dozens of hot air balloons for the annual Mesquite Balloon Festival. This family-friendly weekend of events begins each morning at 7:30 a.m. with balloon launches from the Oasis parking lot and wraps each evening with the nightly 6:00 p.m. night glows, where pilots light up the night sky by igniting the burners of the massive balloons.
“The Mesquite Balloon Festival is one of the most memorable events in Mesquite each year,” said Christian Adderson, corporate sales manager for Mesquite Gaming. “This year is set to be the largest event yet and is sure to put a smile on everyone’s faces as they see the balloons flying through Mesquite.”
Volunteers are also needed for the event. Each volunteer will receive an event tee shirt, lapel pin and coffee and donuts at the morning launches.

Mesquite Music Fest (February 4 – 6)
In February, the CasaBlanca Resort will be the home to 72 hours of nostalgia-inducing performances, with music from three crowd-pleasing acts that will take you back to the glory days of Las Vegas entertainers. The three stage acts, Mark Preston, the Ladies of Soul and The Everly Brothers Experience, will all perform in the CasaBlanca Showroom inside the CasaBlanca Resort & Casino.
Mark Preston will perform on Monday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Preston, a three-time Grammy Award nominee, was named “One of the best entertainers in show business today” by Variety Magazine for his incredible talent and distinct voice.
Ladies of Soul will perform on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. These passionate performers will bring a soul-powered musical celebration honoring Nancy Wilson, Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin to the CasaBlanca Showroom.
The Everly Brothers Experience will perform on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. This show was created to honor the Everly Brothers iconic sound and unique place in music history in a fun and exciting way. The five-piece band will rock the CasaBlanca Showroom to continue to support the recognition and preservation of the intimate origins of America’s greatest rock n’ roll singing sibling duo.
