Paul Hart, from Roselle, IL. wins the tournament as the overall champion and Mike Brocki from Chino Hills, CA., wins low gross champion
The Mesquite Amateur tournament, hosted by Mesquite Gaming, owner of CasaBlanca Resort and Virgin River Hotel in Mesquite, Nev., crowned the 2021 champions after five days of exciting competition.
This years champion and repeat player, Paul Hart, from Roselle, IL., shot a championship round of net 68. Mike Brocki, from Chino Hills, CA., shot a gross score of 73 in the final round, and securing him the low gross score champion.
The 18th annual Mesquite Amateur ran from Monday, May 31st through Friday, June 4th. The 54-hole, net, stroke play tournament featured a full field of over 630 golfers who came from 41 states around the Country, including Hawaii. The tournament was played on six award-winning courses in Mesquite, Nevada and St. George, Utah, including CasaBlanca Golf Club, Palms Golf Club, Falcon Ridge Golf Club, Palmer Course at Oasis Golf Club, Conestoga Golf Club and Coral Canyon Golf Club.
“With another year of the Mesquite Amateur in the books, we are proud to see the community come together once again, and we were fortunate to have 55 local volunteers come out and support this special event,” said Christian Adderson, tournament director for Mesquite Gaming. “Between meeting new participants from across the country, providing a local student with a college scholarship and five days of great golf, this event is one of the most rewarding of the year.”
