Make A Wish Donation Photo Recap

A dedicated community partner, Mesquite Gaming, owners of CasaBlanca Resort-Casino-Golf- Spa and Virgin River Hotel/Casino/Bingo, presented $5,000 to Make-A-Wish child, Langston Navarro, on Monday, May 9 in a surprise Wish Reveal check presentation at Virgin Valley High School. The $5,000 will go toward Navarro’s wish – to attend college at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah.

Set to graduate from Virgin Valley High School in June 2016, Navarro is 17 years of age and suffers from End Stage Kidney Failure. Enduring 10 hours of dialysis, Navarro understands the ongoing medical needs of his diagnosis, which drives his determination to attend college and receive an education to support himself and his treatment. Navarro wants to be a teacher with a minor in theater, so he can give back to students the way his theater teacher has given to him. He is currently seeking placement on the kidney transplant list.

“We at Mesquite Gaming pride ourselves on being an active community partner, providing support to organizations and individuals in the Mesquite community,” said Chris Lazzara, vice president of marketing and advertising for Mesquite Gaming. “When the opportunity crossed our desks to assist this deserving young man in his wish to attend college, we knew we had to step in and help.”
