Mesquite, Nevada – June 27, 2017 – In a jam-packed weekend filled with memorable tributes, slick hair and hip-thrusting action, CasaBlanca Resort held its annual “Elvis Rocks Mesquite” Elvis Presley tribute event Thursday, June 15 through Saturday, June 17, 2017. While 19 top tribute artists from around the world graced the stage donning their best Elvis fashion and singing their favorite tunes, event host Kelly Clinton-Holmes awarded Robert Washington of Auburn, Maine as the “Elvis Rocks Mesquite 2017 Champion.”
The contest consisted of three preliminary rounds – ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s. Finalists from each preliminary round moved into the final round. A total of $10,000 in prize money was awarded to the winners:
Grand Champion: Robert Washington, Auburn, Maine
2nd Place: Jacob Roman, Glendale, Calif.
3rd Place: Jim Westover, Arizona City, Ariz.
4th Place: Tony “E” Freitas, Oakdale, Calif.
